San Jose Sharks Facts

The San Jose Sharks joined the NHL for the 1991-1992 season. The Sharks name was selected, in part, because of the large shark population in the Bay Area. The Sharks have won six division titles and the Presidents' Trophy in 2008-09. They play their home games at the SAP Center in San Jose, known locally as the "Shark Tank."
